Kemper Museum and GreenWorks in Kansas City collaborated on a special project to raise awareness of the pollution facing our Missouri River by encouraging patrons to decline single-use plastic bags and carry a reusable one instead – like these recycled from the Museum’s old exhibition banners. Crafted and designed by Stitching Change, a remarkable social enterprise project in Kansas City which helps refugee women create income opportunities through the creation of handmade items, once an exhibition’s banners come down they will be repurposed into these beautiful totes.
