About the artist:

"I am compelled by glass in its many different forms and applications. I grew up in the woods and by the seashore in Massachusetts, in a family of glassblowers. After moving to Chicago in 2007 I started experimenting with stained glass, attracted to the many colors, textures, and its relationship to light.

Over the years my fascination with glass and metal-work has grown and has led me to pursue and experiment with different methods of manipulating glass. Some techniques I have developed include hand faceting glass jewelry, fusing glass with metal inclusions, and most currently modern suncatchers with intricate metal work. I love the transformative properties that occur when integrating multiple materials together. Glass provides me constant inspiration and I am excited to see where this inspiration will take my designs next!"
