"I am Clare Whyte, a midwestern designer who employs fiber and alternative materials to create functional objects and works of art. Materiality and process drive my work - I utilizes sewn construction, weaving, screen-printing, and many other means to create. Through these varied processes, I hope to fully understand both the material as well as what I do with it. My current work centers around our global plastic crisis - recycling single-use plastics into materials meant to last."
