Letter Shaped Flat Porcelain Box

Regular price $100.00

Handmade in Barnard Missouri by Momoko Usami

The outside of this porcelain box is made to look like an old letter that is found in a time capsule underground. It’s so old that it started to turn to stone. When you lift the lid, however, the inside of the box has a fresh view of flowers covered in gorgeous deep green. No part of this piece went undesigned. Even the rim has international mail designed with red and blue.

"I hand built the shape with porcelain, then hand carved the flower pattern inside. The rim is inlayed with red and blue underglaze. After the first firing color the outside texture and glaze inside with green glossy glaze, and finish with last firing at 2232F."

It’s perfect for holding your favorite jewelry on your bedside table, vanity table, or in your bathroom. Also a great size to store stamps, business cards, or organize small stationary like paper clips on your desk.
