Queen's Apiary 4 oz Candle - Paraffin Free

Regular price $12.50

We created this candle as a nod for all the queens working so hard to continue their legacies. She is the only bee capable of reproducing for her hive, and she begins this journey after only being alive for 3-5 days. She breeds with a male bee, known as a drone, and is able to lay up to 2,000 larvae a day and can live for 1-2 years!

Aroma Notes: Jasmine, budding rose, smokey musk, gardenia, peach skin, Moscato

The building we have at the Kansas City Renaissance Fest has been a "honey store" for many years. It was called the Queen's Apiary before us, and was owned by Roger and Sue Nichols of Raytown, Missouri (Santa Fe Trail Honey).

We feel honored to carry on the tradition of the space not only having beeswax and honey products but also it being owned by Raytown beekeepers. This new candle is named "Queen's Apiary" after our predecessors.

This candle is a blend of fresh jasmine and rose, it is fresh and floral, but not overpowering.

Our candles are hand-poured and made with the highest quality ingredients - a blend of Soy, Coconut, Beeswax and natural artisan fragrance oils.

UPC and warning located on the bottom of the candle.

To ensure the longest burn time trim the wicks between an eighth and a quarter of an inch before every use and burn for at least 2 hours.

About Messner Bee Farm:

We are husband and wife beekeepers! We started keeping bees as an addition to our urban farm in 2012 and quickly fell in love with everything about the process. After a few years we used our stored beeswax and raw honey to make lip balm. It quickly took off and Messner Bee Farm is now a full time business with a production area and apiary. We currently have a mobile store on our Trolley named Beeatrix! We feel privileged to be a part of the making process start to finish beginning with the bees building beeswax and gathering nectar in the spring. Beekeeping is endlessly interesting and challenging – a real labor of love. We harvest the wax and honey in late summer and use the supplies to make our lip balms. We produce all of our balms in small batches and hand pour them to insure the best quality and craftsmanship. We take pride in providing something that is natural, useful and supports our favorite pollinators!
