Love, Loss & Violence: a Visual Dialogue on War

Paintings by artist Ada Koch, original poems by Glenn North

"Years of collaborating with Glenn North, an inspirational poet and dear friend, have not only produced this book and numerous paintings but also opened our eyes and hearts to those impacted by love and loss due to the violence of war. Discussions began over fear of the proximity and randomness of violence (starting after 9-11 and the Boston Marathon bombings) and the endless repetitiveness of war, and have come around to the basic nature of mankind, the simplest yet most puzzling question of good vs. evil.

Because this book is a DIALOGUE about war, questions will be raised...... but before starting, three questions need to be addressed - Why war? Why now? and Why this book?

This book strives to be disruptive, by making one pause, and hopefully take a deeper look, gaining insights or forming opinions that can become the continuation of a dialogue begun long ago and running even now amidst good projects and positive leaders."
